Registration opens on www.nextcaddy.com at 9:00 on 14 September 2026.
Registration closes at 12:00 on 13 October 2026.
Players will be admitted strictly in order of handicap.
A step-by-step registration tutorial is available in circular No. 5/2024.
The Championship is open to Mid-Amateur amateur players who turn 25 or older in 2026, hold a valid federation licence from the Canary Islands territorial federation, are not excluded by sanction and have an exact handicap of 26.4 or lower (men).
The field is limited to 72 players: the 72 players registered on time with the best exact handicap in the RFEG database. In the event of a tie for place 72 on exact handicap, the player who registered first will take part.
Admitted players may practise on 16 October, subject to booking a tee time and availability, in accordance with Golf del Sur booking rules.
Subsidies: The Royal Canary Islands Golf Federation will subsidise players from this territory in accordance with circular No. 114/2025 “Amateur Committee Subsidies”, as set out for two-round Regional Circuit events.
In cases of force majeure that prevent notice within these deadlines, the player must send documentation to the committee within a non-extendable period of 7 calendar days after the event for a decision.
Only force majeure documentation will be accepted, and these are the only grounds for a refund of the entry fee.
Documentation must be sent within the deadlines to torneos@federacioncanariagolf.com
Withdrawals after publication of the final list of admitted players will be filled from the waiting list until Thursday 15 October, when the final list is published.
Places freed by withdrawals notified after the final list has been published will not be filled.
In the event of a tie for first place in the overall Scratch classification, a sudden-death play-off will be played, hole by hole.
All other places will be shared; only for prize-winning places will ties be broken using the best last 18, 27, 36, 45, 48, 51, 52 and 53 holes. If the tie persists, it will be decided by lot.
The Royal Canary Islands Golf Federation will award trophies to:
Note: Prizes are not cumulative; overall Scratch prizes take precedence over all others, and the Handicap prize over the Senior prize.
The prize giving will take place on Sunday 18 October during the awards dinner.
If only one round can be played on the scheduled dates, the classification will be based on that round; if no round can be played, the Royal Canary Islands Golf Federation may set a new date and venue.
The full circular (PDF, Spanish) also contains the data protection information, the RFCG 2026 Code of Conduct and the regulations for practice rounds at RFCG Amateur Committee championships. The Royal Canary Islands Golf Federation reserves the right to modify this circular.
