RULES FOR THE USE OF “GOLF DEL SUR CLUB” FACILITIES

These rules are mandatory for all users of GOLF DEL SUR facilities.
Accessing the facilities constitutes acceptance of these rules. Violations may result in expulsion and, where applicable, the application of the Disciplinary Regime.
Players must comply with and respect instructions from staff, who represent management and are authorized to enforce regulations. Specifically:
- Starters: Enforce tee time schedules and authorize play.
- Marshals: Monitor proper conduct and pace of the game.
- Reception Personnel: Oversee adherence to facility guidelines.
In addition to the internal regulations of the Club, all play will adhere to the rules established by the Royal Spanish Golf Federation (RFEG).
Smoking is only permitted in open spaces, in accordance with current legislation.
HANDICAP
- A certified handicap or federation license is required.
- The maximum handicap permitted is 26.4 for men and 36.2 for women, as set by the RFEG.
- Players must follow local rules, avoid slow play, and pick up their ball if unable to score in Stableford mode. Medal and other formats require prior authorization from GOLF DEL SUR management.
Tee Allocations:
- White Tee: Handicaps 0–9.
- Yellow Tee: Handicaps 10–24.
- Red Tee: Handicaps above 24.
- Women: Must use the Red Tee.
OPENING AND CLOSING HOURS
Facility opening and closing times will be displayed on the Announcement Board. Users must vacate the premises and remove vehicles before closing.
VEHICLE REGULATIONS
- Only GOLF DEL SUR rental buggies are permitted. All other vehicles, including bicycles, skates, and scooters, are strictly prohibited.
- Golf carts provided by GOLF DEL SUR or authorized vehicles may be used on the course, paths, and sports areas.
- Golf carts must remain on designated paths and can only be driven by individuals over 16 years old.
- Carts may carry only as many passengers as there are seats.
- Electric/manual trolleys must stay in designated areas.
- Players are responsible for any damage caused to carts or trolleys. Misuse may lead to disciplinary action and financial penalties.
- Carts breaking down must be parked without obstructing play, and their location reported to the Caddie Master.
- Carts must not enter tees, greens, or restricted areas and must respect all signage.
- Carts must remain within golf course premises and are prohibited on public roads.
ON-COURSE CONDUCT
Players must adhere to golf etiquette regarding pace of play, course priority, and maintenance. Cleanliness is mandatory—dispose of trash in designated bins. Additional guidelines:
- Repair divots on fairways and tees.
- Do not cross markers, ropes, or signs with trolleys or buggies.
- Repair ball marks on greens.
- Practice balls are prohibited on the course; their use will result in expulsion.
- Playing a second ball when the first is playable is not allowed.
- Each player must use their own bag; sharing is prohibited.
- Accompanying individuals must be notified at the Reception and sign a liability waiver.
- Rake footprints in bunkers after hitting and place the rake properly.
- Do not drop the flagstick on greens; lower it carefully with your hand or club.
- Avoid damaging greens with bags, trolleys, or buggies. Retrieve balls carefully to prevent hole deformation.
- Avoid walking in stone areas near lakes to prevent damage or accidents.
- Buggies are not allowed on tees, fringes, or greens.
PRACTICE AREA USE
- Practice balls provided by Golf del Sur may only be used on the driving range and not on the putting green or chipping area.
- Practice mats must always be used.
- Non-practicing individuals are not allowed in the practice area or on the putting green.
- All users and accompanying adults must respect to the dress code.
GAME CONTROL
Marshals are responsible for monitoring and enforcing game rules. Official competitions will have a Competition Committee to define specific conditions.
MOBILE PHONES
Mobile phone use is permitted during play and practice, provided it does not disturb others. Phones should remain silent. In other areas, phone use must be moderate and considerate.
DRESS CODE
- Permitted: Trousers, Bermuda shorts, skirts, dresses, and collared polo shirts.
- Prohibited: Denim trousers, shorts or beach ware.
- Shoes with spikes are not allowed.
INFRACTIONS
Infractions include:
- Non-compliance with golf course regulations.
- Disrespecting staff (starters, marshals, receptionists).
- Intentional damage to facilities.
Infractions may result in disqualification, suspension from the Club, or permanent bans, depending on severity.
PACE OF PLAY
- The estimated game duration is 4.5 hours.
- Players must arrive at least 10 minutes before their tee time.
- Faster groups have priority. Groups losing position must allow others to pass.
- Single players must let groups of two or more play through.
- Smaller groups may be combined to complete a foursome.
- Play a provisional ball if your ball may be lost or out of bounds.
- Help locate lost balls only after playing your own shot. Searches must not exceed 3 minutes.
- Position carts and trolleys near the green exit for efficient transitions.
- Do not collect balls from out-of-bounds areas, private property, or hazardous locations.
- Marshals may instruct slow groups to skip a hole.
PETS
Pets are generally not allowed, except for guide or assistance dogs:
- Guide dogs: Permitted for visually impaired individuals, provided they wear visible identification.
- Assistance dogs: Allowed for individuals with disabilities, with proper documentation and visible identification.
LOST, STOLEN, OR MISPLACED ITEMS
- GOLF DEL SUR is not responsible for lost, stolen, or misplaced items, including clothing or sports equipment.
- Found items must be handed to Reception.
